A very Happy Fourth of July to all of you! We had a low key day that started with Winston on the phone to get our air conditioner fixed. We've known for a while that it needed replacing and it started it's slow death on Sunday afternoon. Timing not great since we are living in 99 degree and high humidity weather conditions right now! Luckily he was able to work some media connections so not only did we get the service charge waived (on a holiday!) but they put in a temporary unit until we can get a new one put in. So the house was nice and cool by the time we went to bed last night.
We beat the heat by taking Luke and Sam to the toddler pool in the neighborhood and then spent the evening at the amphitheater where they had live music and food. We ran into a family that we know and Luke had a ball running around with their four-year daughter.
