Our new "house".
Our room is the top floor, middle left where the building pokes out.

We walked into our beautiful entryway every evening after school and were always greeted with a smile and a "How was your day Luke?" from whomever was at the desk; usually Beth or Timmy. Jimmy was often there in the morning to see us off for the day.
The boys loved giving Beth hugs when we got home and one night hit the jackpot with fresh cookies AND and a letter from Grandma Linda!
Elizabeth had dinner for us Monday through Thursday. She was always there with whatever we needed and didn't even seem to mind cleaning up after the boys (Luke helped out with that sometimes)! We enjoyed chatting with her in the evenings and dinner was always yummy.
One night Rex, the manager, rolled up his sleeves to do the grilling. He took good care of us as well and brought up some Pedialyte when Luke was sick one day.
Going downstairs for breakfast continued to be a favorite for Luke. We ate in the room during the week but on the weekends we enjoyed seeing Rosie and eating "colored cheerios" as a special treat. Christina was there during the week to help us out when I was getting my coffee and Luke was making one piece of toast to take in the car on the way to Ms. Patsy's house.
(liked the mis-matched jammies? A battle I wasn't going to fight that night)
I did manage to cook every now and then. Hopefully I won't forget how when I have access to a real kitchen soon. We've missed enchiladas and Boboli pizza but we didn't go hungry.
Sleeping was the biggest problem. A family of four should not be sleeping in the same room! Poor Winston got the raw end of this deal. Luke, Sam, and I were able to keep our schedule pretty consistent but he always woke up when we were getting ready in the morning, even after late nights as work. He claims he is going to sleep for a week when we arrive in Washington.
Luke enjoyed his Sesame Street couch for a few nights.
Some cuddle time on the hide-a-bed.
The newest phase -
making a "cave" out of all the pillows and sleeping on the floor.

It was great to get the bigger bedroom for the second part of our stay here. Lots of room and Luke didn't have to move out to the hide-a-bed every night. We could cuddle up and watch movies or shows on the computer before bed.
As we pack up to head out on Saturday morning I say a huge "Thank You" to everyone here. You have made a situation that could have been horrible into a nice couple of months for our family. Thank you for the smiles, the chats, the food, the wine, and the fresh towels. Thank you for holding Sam while I tried to carry two bags and pour my coffee to go (Christina). Thank you for listening to Luke tell stories about his day (everyone). Thank you for cleaning the mess on the floor at dinner every night (Elizabeth). Thank you for helping Winston get his car started one morning (Jimmy).
You all are the best and we will miss you!!
