Dropping the Puck?

Winston was honored at the Aeros playoff game last Thursday night. The Aeros are the minor league hockey team in Houston and Winston has given them love when he anchors and has done stories on the players. Being one of the few, if only, sportscasters in town that does this, they asked him to drop the ceremonial first puck at the game.

Luke and I went with for support and Luke even got to be part of the puck dropping. Or...what was supposed to be a puck dropping. The guy that was supposed to give Winston the puck when he walked out onto the ice didn't have it so Winston and Luke walked out, shook the team captain's hands, and walked back. That's it. Oh well. It was all for the honor anyway, it's not like his puck was actually going to start the game. It was a fun night and another new and exciting experience for Luke.

They were out of onesies so we tried a boy-sized jersey...didn't quite work, too slippery!

We got to meet another Houston mascot...Chilly.

Once the game started, the players slammed into the side, right where we were standing. Winston thought it was hilarious to have Luke bang on the glass.

Afterward, we enjoyed watching some of the game.
