Hotel Living Through the Eyes of Luke

Luke thinks our "new house" is great.  Thank God!  He hasn't asked about the old one and doesn't seem at all concerned that we now live in a one bedroom suite where he has to share a bed.  If asked he will tell you his favorite things about the new house in order as he counts them on his fingers:
1.  Sleeping in the living room
2.  Sleeping in the bed with Grandma and Grandpa in their room (my parents were here for our first 3 nights and were in the suite next door.  Luke LOVED having sleep-overs with them!). 
3.  Seeing the yellow train at night
4.  Riding in the elevator

That's it.  That's all it takes to keep this kid happy - no wonder I love him like crazy!  There are more things he likes about it here but these four always make the list. Here are a few more of those things:

He can still watch his morning shows on PBS.

We love going downstairs for breakfast in our new dining room. 

 Our new house has a pool!

 So cozy and comfy to fall sleep with so many pillows in a big bed...

...and then wake up in the cool bed in the living room.

 Laundry carts = fun!

 We still put favorite artwork on the fridge.

 We have a distant view of Highway 59 from our window.  On our first night Luke saw the lights from the cars and thought it was a long yellow train.  It facinates him to stare out the window and watch the "train" go by.  He did comment one night that he never saw the caboose.  I told him to keep watching!  We also pass over train tracks on our way to daycare and have seen a few trains - a daily favorite.

 Getting the elevator is another daily favorite.

 Bathtime with Samuel is still fun.

We'll see how he does when we go live somewhere without an elevator but in the meantime - life ain't bad.
